Best Virtual Machine Software

I actually set up Vbox and VMware in last few weeks. Both were easy for any beginner. I think that ware made it easier to share w/ host tho.

The secret to sharing with VirtualBox, is the shared folder must be on the desktop.  Once that is set, sharing between host/guest is instant.  I tried for years to get shared folder to work with virtual box, but with the help of my persistent badgering of DanielRemains, it was figured out.  Once it is figured out, it is actually very easy to set up.

Desktop is C drive/ W/ my SSD I limit my c drive usage, so another + 1 for ware. I netted several folders on host w/ ware, so again...

My vm's are stored on my 1TB drive, only the shared folder resides on my desktop

vmware is amazing + is free

vmware is amazing (my choice too) but not free.
vbox is free and as posted designed for ppl who have less requests whilst vmware is more for professional use

Virtual PC..cough cough...what is that, is it eatable?

Virtual Box is free, easy to use and, in addition, work fine. In fact, work better (at least in my experience) that any other that i have tried (including VMware, MS Virtual PC, and some others)... without any problem, even working in a network (whit Novell)...

My vote for VirtualBox...

My vote is VMWare because they have 2 different versions A MAc and a PC version.

I also love that they have the player and the workstation so if you need to edit it go into the workstation
If you need to use it go into the palyer.

I dont mind it not being free ;)

sun virtualbox hands down

its just the best ^^

and is not a resource hog like vmware.
