I have been using Win7 since beta with a Desktop Pentium 4 3.0GHz
And a Gateway Laptop with Centrino Duo and Run Great, I work with
Graphics programs Corel X3, CS4 Suite, But sometimes the Aero Transparency will disable itself and I have to enable it, but this occurred because when I run a program that work at low graphics this disable the Aero.

Well I tried it and it lasted all of 2 evenings before going back to XP. I dabble a lot with satellite and the first software I installed gave several .dll file registration errors. Nothing I could do would register the files.
I also couldn't get used to the look and feel of the O.S and found some things completely illogical. Shame really as I have a genuine key for Ultimate.

I like Win7, now that is off my chest. Running all updated drivers and updates.
Problem 1: When running avi files, I'm just about guaranteed to BSOD, whether I run MS media player, VLC, or Media player Classic. I started out with stock MS before I tried the others. XP never crashed, but it did happen in Vista sp2 and seemed to carry over. Not always the same sys file causing Bsod. Tonight it was the win32.sys. I might try an older Ati video driver for my 2900 pro, see if that makes a difference.
Bug 1: When I try to open a folder in a downsized window with more then one column of folders and I try to access the far right folder, the folders shift to the left, and I have to double click again.
More to come

I've been very pleased with windows 7. So much so, that I have moved pass XP(vista was never an option imo) finally.

I'm a huge fan
of windows 7. The only problem i had, was some driver issue in the early days of the OS, but that's quiet normal for an new operating system. That's the only probleme for me. Windows 7 is just great. Thank's

At first.
Many many thanks to all Authers and Admins her, you do and have done a very great job.
Win 7 I use since the first beta version. The first problems were the driver and the adaptation of the software. For a new OS but that is normal. Here, Microsoft has done a really good job. With the first RC I left XP. With WIN 7, I have no major problems. Most of the problems caused to the sitting in front of the computer.

windows 7 still sucks. the file searching is not as good as windows xp. xp can search deep into hidden file and similar file name and sizes but not with windows 7.

Funny man SE, but all are allowed to have an opinion WHETHER it be correct or not. I think that search works well in W7, and I navigate through 2.5 Tb of network well too.

I've been using Win7 since release day and have been impressed the whole time
Several reasons for this:
I was able to keep my dreamscene
dx10 without vista!
I no longer need to make a completely separate quickbar and hide my desktop, they integrated it into the standard OS setup!
i LOVE the recent files used with each program via start-menu
Of course there have been concessions too...
I can't be the audiophile i am at heart (with the loss of xp, i lost bitperfect 44.1 pcm that bypassed winkernal)
Driver issues galore in several programs like fraps and older games (won't be playing cnc95 or red alert anymore)
But overall I like their direction. Of course, I still keep ubu in dualboot, but my forays into that land are getting fewer and fewer by the day!
Thank to win7vista for making it happen for me
